- 2009: Baltimore City Community College collaborates with The Juxtopia Group to distribute virtual instructor technology through mobile augmented reality to deliver hands-on robot assembly instruction. Research will be conducted to determine the educational value of using a virtual instructor to teaching robot assembly. The IEEE VIPRG working methods (e.g.., pedagogy taxonomy) will be researched.
- 2009: Learning Technology sub-committee co-chair, Mrs. Lynn Patterson, completes a pedagogy taxonomy for virtual instructors. This research was funded by the National Science Foundation.
